Program of Events
& Qualifying Times


The program of events for the 2026 Country Swimming Championships has being fialised, and along with the Qualifying Times can be found below.
Please Note:
Heats will be swam in a multi-aged format (no age separation - heats swam fastest to slowest)
Timed Finals - All 400m IM, 800m and 1500m Freestyle events will be swam as Open Timed Finals. Medals will be awarded in the following age groups for these timed final events - 13-14yrs, 15-16yrs and 17yrs & over. All 100m form strokes and above for swimmers aged 25yrs & over will also be timed finals.
Finals - All 50m strokes and 100m Freestyle events, will be conducted youngest to oldest in the following age categories –
11-12, 13, 14, 15, 16-24yrs and 25yrs & over. All 100m form strokes, 200m Freestyle and IM events, will be conducted youngest to oldest in the following age categories – 11-12, 13, 14, 15, 16yrs & over. All 200m form stroke events (Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) will be conducted youngest to oldest in the following age categories – 11-12, 13-14, 15yrs & over. Medals will be awarded to the following age groups for these events 11-12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17-24yr and 25yrs & over. NOTE: finals may be combined by the Technical Manager / Meet Director if numbers are insufficient to hold individually aged finals. A maximum of 3 visitors can make an A-final.
B-Finals B-finals will be conducted in 50m and 100m events. B-Finals will be conducted in the age grouping categories of 11-13yrs, 14-15yrs and 16yrs+. Determination of the final structure of B-Finals will be dependant on nomination numbers and this will be communicated following the close of nominations. These B-Finals will be swam at the completion of the finals, as outlined in the Program of Events. There must be a minimum of 6 swimmers eligible for a B-final to be conducted. NOTE: B-finals may be combined by the Technical Manager / Meet Director if numbers permit.
A maximum of 5 visitors can make a B-final.
Relays will be swam as Open Timed Finals, slowest to fastest. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall only, with any club able to win a maximum of 2 medals in each event.
Medals will be awarded as 1st, 2nd and 3rd, while Regional-Based swimmers will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd best Regional-Based swimmer, where applicable.
If there are only enough entrants for 1 heat (<10 entries), then heats and finals will still apply for those events.
Also below are the qualifying times for the 2026 Country Swimming Championships. These times must have been achieved after 1st January 2025.
