2024 Country Swimming Championships

The 2024 Country Swimming Championships is again going to be held at Parap Pool in Darwin with a variety of activities taking place from the 26th September until the 1st October 2024. Full details can be found in the Pre-Meet Information Booklet.

This year we are aiming to get more swimmers from more regional clubs visiting, ready  to have a great experience involving the sport they love, as well as enjoying the company of and making life long friends from around Australia. In addition to the undertaking of the Swimming Championships we are planning on making the trip very worthwhile for all stakeholders and participants by having a plethora of supporting activities taking place to make this a true festival of swimming.

Aside from an action packed 4 days of fast and intense heat and final swimming action, Swimming Northern Territory is looking forward to providing a range of activities for swimmers, coaches and technical officials, whilst providing a welcoming and fun atmosphere for all attendees.

​

These activities are outlined further on this website but Swimming Northern Territory is working to undertake the following:

​

• Phoenix Foundation JX Clinic for 9-13yr old swimmers on Thursday 26th September from 10am until 1pm.

• Senior swimmer session with an athlete talk on Thursday 26th September from 2pm.

• An exciting in-pool movie night on Thursday 26th September from 6pm, with a movie you can watch from in the pool, or anywhere on deck, along with our excellent food vendors providing a great relaxing night of fun before the main event starts.

• Development Coaching Course run by the SCTA  on Tuesday 1st October.

• Technical Official workshop outlining various topics and a general Q & A session on Thursday 26th September. With a get to know you lunch.

• Elite Athlete attendance and meeting opportunities throughout the Championship. There will be an exciting announcement on this shortly.
