Swimmer Opportunities
Phoenix Foundation JX Clinic
Swimming Northern Territory is pleased to offer, as part of the 2024 Country Swimming Championships, an opportunity for swimmers aged 9-13yrs to take part in a Phoenix Foundation JX clinic with a huge name in Australian swimming leading the session. The Phoenix Foundation is the returning season sponsor of Swimming Australia's JX program and it's great to have them supporting grass roots swimming yet again.
The Junior Excellence Program was established in 2007 to recognise, reward and incentivise junior swimmers who are on part of their swimming journey, learning and refining as they develop into senior swimmers. Each year Swimming Australia releases the JX criteria and standards for the forthcoming season which swimmers, parents and coaches can use as targets throughout the year.
Swimmers aged from 9 to 13 years, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at gold, silver, bronze or blue standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
All ‘approved’ swim meet results are loaded into the Swimming Australia’s Swim Central and used as results towards an overall award for each individual swimmer. At the end of the qualification period, Swimming Australia will publish the JX results on the website.

The 2024 Country Swimming Championships JX Clinic will take place at Parap Pool over the course of Thursday 26th September. Further information is available on the link below and the opportunity to register for the clinic will be available from the 1st August 2024.

Athlete Meet & Greets

Swimming Northern Territory is working to attract some of Australia's current Dolphin swimmers, fresh of a successful Paris Olympics to attend the 2024 Country Swimming Championships to provide some great photo opportunities, as well as passing on some incredible advice and insight into what makes them as good as they are, and how you can achieve this as well.
In-Pool Movie Night
Swimming Northern Territory is looking forward to providing an experience that is unlikely to be done anywhere else in Australia at the 2024 Country Swimming Championships - An in-pool Movie Night with the animated family movie "The Bad Guys"

This will be available for all participants, supporters, coaches, technical officials and members of the general public to have a fun and relaxing night of entertainment before the racing commences. SNT has organised to have all of our food truck vendors onsite for the event, so it will be a great night.
This will take place on Thursday 26th September from 6pm to approximately 8pm, after the completion of all pool clinics and activities.
A crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet--becoming model citizens. Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys--dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf , seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake, chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark, short-fused "muscle" Mr. Piranha and sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula, aka "Webs." But when, after years of countless heists and being the world's most-wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf brokers a deal (that he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The Bad Guys will go good. Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmalade, an arrogant (but adorable!) guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they've been transformed. Along the way, though, Mr. Wolf begins to suspect that doing good for real may give him what he’s always secretly longed for: acceptance. So when a new villain threatens the city, can Mr. Wolf persuade the rest of the gang to become... The Good Guys?
